@cgruber @restingbull i can work on making a repro but i want to make sure it still reproduces with #588 as that could be part of the issue? not sure. Ill try this week to put something together

#588 has some issues before it can go in. Maybe just replicate as-is with the latest beta-4, and we can rationalize these once we see the issue clearly.

After retrying with beta4 and kotlin 1.5.20 i no longer see this issue. I think it was because i was trying kotlin 1.5.30 where the compilation arg syntax changed
