This is a Discord bot developed by Brandon Ban using the Python programming language.

Introduction

This Discord bot was developed to provide a useful tool for users to automate tasks, manage their servers, and have fun with various features. The bot was developed using the discord.py library, a popular Python library for creating bots on Discord. With this bot, users can interact with it using various commands and perform actions based on the functionalities provided.

Features

The Discord bot has the following features:

  • Motivation: The bot can provide users with a random motivational word to keep them going.
  • Entertainment: The bot can provide fun features such as playing Tic Tac Toe, generating random numbers, and love messages.
  • Utility: The bot provides utility features such as checking the weather and server information, returning the current time, and more.

Installation and Setup

To use this bot, follow the instructions below:

  1. Clone this repository to your local machine using the command git clone https://github.com/bbkx226/Discord-Bot.git.
  2. Install the required packages by running the following command: pip install -r requirements.txt.
  3. Create a new application in the Discord Developer Portal.
  4. In the "Bot" section of your application, click on "Add Bot" to create a new bot user.
  5. Copy the bot token and paste it in the TOKEN variable in the config.py file (or repl.it 'SECRET' in my case).
  6. Invite the bot to your server by generating an invite link in the "OAuth2" section of your application.
  7. Run the bot using the following command: python bot.py (or deploy it in any hosting platform).

This bot has the following commands:

Motivation

  • $cheer: This command returns a random motivational word.

Entertainment

  • $die: This command returns a random last words.
  • $hello: This command returns a welcome message with random language.
  • $inspire: This command returns a random quote.
  • $love: This command returns random love message.
  • $rd: This command returns a random number.
  • $reverse: This command returns a reverse number.
  • $tictactoe: This command allows two users to play Tic Tac Toe.
  • $weather: This command returns the weather of your city.

Utility

  • $credits: This command returns the credits.
  • $help: Shows the list of available commands.
  • $officials: This command returns members of ATSM Club.
  • $ping: This command returns the latency.
  • $place: This command executes your move in 'Tic Tac Toe'.
  • $server: This command returns server information.
  • $time: This command returns the current time.
