The British Columbia (B.C.) government will not collect, use, or disclose personal information using the API Gateway. Please be aware however that IP addresses are collected pursuant to section 26(c) and (e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for analytics (i.e. number of daily hits) and security (i.e. blocking malicious users) purposes only. IP addresses are temporarily stored in a secure database on servers managed by the British Columbia (B.C.) government within Canada. DataBC complies with IT standards and privacy policies outlined on the following webpage.
