The servos I used are tower pro MG90S. This is a metal gear analog servo. There are a lot of different brands of MG90 that work. The shaft is important and should be 20 tooth 4.8mm dia (approx). The bottom is often stamped with TP in the plastic.
You should be able to get better quality with a digital version, but they are quite expensive.
The wire color order is shown in the image below.
- Brown = Ground
- Redish = +5V
- Yellowish = Signal (PWM)
