Continuous sampling work has been backported from 3.11 for 3.8 Patch series had incorrect authorship. Refreshed the patches showing correct authors.

Adds continuous sampling support to 3.8.
Added sysfs triggers in Kconfig. Needed to trigger the adc acquisition.
Also refreshed the patch series to show correct authorship and cleaned them up a bit.
I'll write a blog post on how to acquire samples in continuous mode from userspace..
