The one more major change I made is editing the instructions to use lib.exe instead of link.exe. This is what I had to do to get it to work. (I am not well-versed in Windows builds though.)

Thanks. I'm also not fully aware of Windows dev, but lib.exe seems enough for me.

And if it doesn't require dll file to generate lib outputs, maybe we can distribute .lib file directly instead of .def file, after some tests done between multiple Windows and MSVC versions. Thank you very much.
