When downloading an archive in stead of the name shown in the extension pop-up window, example:

Download all Images 0 6 6 - 2020-01-09 - 002

I get names like these:

  • 4ec6177e-32ad-498c-b8e2-1113b21a2ce2.zip
  • 597e4dc6-19d5-4fb5-820b-4bc7e114f338.zip
  • ad8b6fe6-d88d-4a54-9564-e3a08ac8322c.zip

This happens in Cent Browser version 4.1.7.182 using Download all Images version 0.6.6.

I just tested on CentBrowser and the archive name looks okay. Try the reset button on the UI and then restart the page.

Thank you for your quick response.

I used another instance of Cent Browser (I am using the portable versions of Cent Browser) and the archives were saved with the name as shown in the extension pop-up. However the problem persists with my default Cent Browser instance. I tried both 'Reset' and 'Restart' but it did not help. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Download all Images but the problem persisted. I noticed something else- on my default instance of Cent Browser the archive was saved not in a sub-folder on my desktop (my default download location) but directly on desktop. It seems that the problem is not related to Download all Images but most likely it is internal browser problem. I have had a similar problem with another extension- Save text to file. Before I close this issue can you recommend what else may I try to resolve this problem? I can reset all data and try with a new clean instance of the browser but I will waste a lot time to restore all settings, bookmarks, extensions (I have many extensions installed and many of them have their own customization).

Chrome: 87.0.4280.88 (64 bits)
Save Images: 0.7.5
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.19042)

I also encountered the same issue. This issue seems to be related to Chrome download API as it was occurred( Issue 1008884: chrome download API downloads file with incorrect filename ) I'm not sure which party should solves this issue first. The same issue appears in different Chrome plugins (such as MarkDownload Issue ref ). If this problem cannot be solved temporarily, I hope someone can provide some temporary solutions, thank you!
