Can't cast to Miracast/EZMirror #37

I have the same issue. What OS do you have? Can you also test if the same happens with
set and running the program and selecting the dummy sink? |
Fedora 30 with Miracast dongle in EZMirror mode. |
Hmm, I think I have a friend in the office who has an EZMirror device. I'll ask them; please remind me in 1-2 weeks :) |

Another thing to try is with PIPEWIRE_DEBUG=5 and checking all logs. The error seems to be generated by pipewire/connection.c:513. I will also be posting my logs once I get the chance to run it with pipewire debug on. |
OK, so this thing is a "measy" Model A2W "Miracast Receiver". It shows Worked fine in my quick test (i.e. connecting worked and I got an image streamed). |
The error returned by pipewire seems to be EDESTADDRREQ. GNU.org explains it occurs when you try to transmit data over a connectionless socket, without first specifying a destination for the data with connect. @benzea. |
Right, I had not realised this was the pipewire issue. There is a pipewire bug affecting pipewire version 0.2.6. Please downgrade pipewire to work around this (I don't think the fix is in a release just yet). |
Bingo! Thanks! |
If anyone is on F30, then you can try the following update https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2019-ca477740be which fixed the issue for me. Also, if you do it would be great if you give the update more karma, as it will reach users more quickly then. |
