Terminal/Editor focus or EditorSplit/EditorSplit focus isn't visually clear/distinct

(for vscode only) For vscode & neovim

Problem

Terminal/Editor focus:
When the terminal is opened, and I move the focus to the active editor above (using workbench.action.focusActiveEditorGroup):
-> It ISN'T clear visually that the focus is not on the terminal anymore..

EditorGroup/EditorGroup focus: (vscode)
When an EditorGroup is focused, and I move to another EditorGroup (another split):
-> It ISN'T clear visually that the focus has moved..

Wanted solution

IDEAS:

• (slightly) change the background color (non-focused areas could be darker?)
