I have checked the tags and changed a href=xxx to a href="xxx" where the quotes had been missing. Hopefully that's it.

I just tried reverting all of the recent changes and it still does not render properly. I think something changed in how GitHub is building the page. Looking into this now.

It took me a while, but managed to fix this (I found the solution here: joshgerdes/jekyll-uno#72)

Thanks for sharing (just adds to my belief that you are a phenomenal teacher). I guess we were seeing the Mr Hyde side of the site. It looks great now.
