Using Jekyll's default one (kramdown) now so we can get easy Table Of Contents out of the box for the whitepaper. But kramdown, although being set to GFM input mode, destroys the backtick code block examples in the style guide.

We could switch to redcarpet which handles backtick code blocks just fine but it doesn't have automatic Table Of Contents generation. Decisions, decisions

Markdown converter should handle:

  • GitHub flavored markdown: especially backtick code blocks
  • Table Of Contents

we don't put the full whitepaper on the site so for now there's no need for a TOC. Using redcarpet works for now
