I agree, however version 0.4 will remember your position within the chapter 
you're reading, which should 
alleviate this somewhat.

I still think there should be a bookmark option so that we can mark multiple 
places 
in the same book.  So if I'm at school and I am reading different parts of a 
book in 
class while I also am reading at home, when I'm in class reading different 
parts I 
won't have to lose my place where I am in personal reading, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the use case, wildonrio.  That actually helps quite a bit. :)  Now I 
know there's a reason for it.

Another case is where I have -many- books buried in different directories. I'd 
like
to have a top level 'bookmark' list so that I can jump to the relevant chapters 
and
read more than one book at a time without excessive drilling down.

OS X Desktop Preview.app has a Bookmarks menu which allows me to do this on my
MacBook Pro... so this is what I'd expect in Books.app.
