Sometimes when merging layers, the layer I'm merging will randomly disappear or become invisible. Yes, I'm using the correct merge/layer type.

potentially connected to #2 and #98 but to be investigated

Any Undo strangeness?

Also experiencing this. Undo seems to work fine. For me, I've only noticed this happening when a layer is copied then merged, and it happens regardless of the layer being merged. Give me just a second, I'll do a screen recording of it occuring.

Strangely enough, it only happens on occasion. After having looked, it seems like it could be something with the "source atop" merging mode, as it happens most frequently when using that mode. I have, however, experienced it when merging normally.

I noticed something else while writing this comment;

This first image is of two unmerged layers. The white streaks are the layers in question. The first layer is the original layer, and the second layer is a duplicate of the first.

This happened after using the 'Normal' merge mode.

For reference, this is the first layer. It seems like the site is acting as if the second layer didn't contain anything when it was merged, or it gets erased while being merged. I'm not sure which it would be.

Update: Layers that are duplicates are randomly disappearing after undoing and do not come back after redoing. Undoing a few extra times seems to bring them back.
