Using Linux (Fedora 36 on wayland), I can't type unicode characters in the qt-console, (Ctrl+Shift+u is ignored).
Tested against current master 4a4289e

The strange thing is that this only seems to affect release builds (guix), local builds work as expected.

Could be due to missing GTK+ support in our static builds.
