We could publish signed daily averages and notarise them on the blockchain with http://virtual-notary.org/, https://www.btproof.com/ and https://www.proofofexistence.com/

Is there any comment on this? I'd hope for a simple sig:"" in the JSON api with some future notarization but for most use cases/a simple "but look, bitcoinaverage said so" would be sufficient without notarization.

I'd consider creating a pull request for a simple configurable bitcoin key that is used for signing with it's address visible on the main page (donation address?).

Any chance of such a pull request getting pulled if done right?
