Hi there,
i just got four Polaris Thunder 20A ESC's which are based on SiLabs chipset:
http://www.goodluckbuy.com/polaris-thunder-20a-l-4s-esc-with-3a-bec-for-brushless-motor.html

It seems that they are not supported yet, so i would like to ask if it is possible to support them in BLHeli.

If you need any more info or pictures i would try my best to support you.

Good find! Inexpensive and with what looks like easily accessible programming pads.
I have ordered the whole range to look at ;).

Found by accident. Expected Hobbywing Skywalker to be shipped with my X525, but found the Polaris in the Box.
Dont really now about the performance of the stock FW, but setting the parameter without proper guide seems to be a pain. So i looked around for an alternative.

Like i said if a High Res Image would help i could see if i can get you one. Or if there is any method to determinate the right pads.

No need for an image, I need the physical ESC to map all the pins on the MCU. And in a week or two I'll have :).

I see that the 3A, 7A and 12A EMAX ESCs look very similar to the XP series, and are probably the same. Maybe the 20A is just an XP18A with slightly stronger FETs? Do you have some pictures of the PCB?

At least you get them. I managed to kill one of those on my first flight with the copter in not more than 10min. I am happy that the copter is nearly undamaged.

Now I have received them, and will start looking at them. How did yours die?

Massive overheated so that the shrink tube melted. Some burned SMD Resistors etc. Dont know how that could happen because the Motors were only running for a couple of seconds.

Probably has been a short somewhere Or a (halfway) defective ESC. Anyway I have mapped the range of ESCs now, and will include in the next release.
