This project was done as a diploma-project whilst graduating in IT at the HTL Wien West, Vienna, Austria during the years 2019 - 2020.
The topic of this project was
"Development of a web-based media-database and corresponding projectrelated management application."
It consisted of realising the following tasks:
- Creation of a server environment
- Development of a database containing media-, employee-, stakeholder-, and project-related data
- Development of a graphical user interface (responsive design)
- Implementation of media-playback as well as up- and download functionalities
- Realization of administrative features (data management, development of a notification system and user-related statistics)
- Realization of elemental pictureand video-manipulation functionalities
- Development of an Android application
Three students worked in collaboration on this project, which was evaluated as "very good" by the examination board of the HTL. The (german) documentation of the whole diploma-project can be viewed here and the project itself can be visited unter www.sequence.co.at
These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.
What things you need to install the software and how to install them.
Leaving having a running server-environment aside, which was one main part of the project, we are going to focus here on the web-application itself, thus skipping the topics "android-application" and everything else regarding aforementioned server-environment.
You´ll need the following:
MySQL
XAMPP
Webbrowser
IDE of choice
