If you'd like to put out an incentive for fixing this bug, you can do so at https://issuehunt.io/r/bk138/gromit-mpx

Describe the bug
If I try pressing Shift or Ctrl, the colors don't change.

To Reproduce

  1. Open gromit-mpx
  2. Click F9
  3. Press Shift
  4. Draw
  5. The color stays red

Expected Behavior
The color should change

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS and version: Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.1
  • Xorg version used: 1:7.7+19ubuntu14
  • Wayland version used:
Not sure how to check that:
apt-cache show mutter | grep Version
Version: 3.36.9-0ubuntu0.20.04.1
Version: 3.36.1-3ubuntu3

Is my understanding of how the program should work incorrect, or is it related to my environment?

P.S. In my case it was that I didn't know I had to put the config file inside ~/.config/. Now it works
