If you'd like to put out an incentive for fixing this bug, you can do so at https://issuehunt.io/r/bk138/multivnc?tab=idle

Is your bug report about the Desktop Multivnc or the Mobile MultiVNC?

  • Desktop (wxWidgets) or Mobile (Android): Mobile

Which MultiVNC version are you using?

1.9.11

Describe the bug

Within the VNC session, if I change the screen resolution (operating system settings), I get the error message: VNC connection failed !. If I press OK and then connect again, within the timeout that the OS gives to confirm the changes, the new session starts correctly with the new resolution.

Expected Behavior

Apply the new resolution without leaving the session (with error) and having to connect again (quickly, because of the timeout).

For the Mobile Version (please complete the following information):

  • Android version: 8.0.0
  • Installed from Play Store, F-Droid, Amazon Appstore: F-Droid

Which server are you using? Can you provide a reproduction case for Linux on the host?

I am using TigerVNC on Termux. On Termux I installed Xfce. Changing the resolution within Xfce creates this bug.

Thanks! Can you repro with x11vnc (maybe the -id feature)?

Just tried with x11vnc and -sid pick option: Only happens when window/framebuffer is enlarged
