Is your feature request about the Desktop Multivnc or the Mobile MultiVNC?

  • Desktop (wxWidgets) or Mobile (Android): Android 10
  • If Mobile, installed from Play Store or F-Droid: F-Droid

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am using my Android tablet with MultiVNC as a secondary monitor. The problem I have is that the screen does not stay awake.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like that my screen stays on when using VNC with an enabled view.

Describe alternatives you've considered
It would also solve my problem if I could toggle a "stay awake" mode in the menu.

Earlier I had another app with a quick tile which lets me toggle a "stay awake" mode. While this solution worked on Android 9 it does no longer work since the upgrade to Android 10.

Possible implementation

I have not done any Android development for about five years and do not know anything anymore. But I stumbled over the following article on developer.android.com: https://developer.android.com/training/scheduling/wakelock#screen. Maybe this could help.

Additional context
I am using MultiVNC Version 1.8.10 as distributed on F-Droid on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 running Android 10.
