From another issue

This is probably a separate issue, but when I resize the display with xrandr --fb, MultiVNC still shows the old display size until I disconnect and reconnect. Is there a way to avoid reconnecting?

This is a separate issue. Please open a new one for this :-)

Just checked with https://github.com/LibVNC/libvncserver/blob/master/examples/example.c, this works as it's sending rfbEncodingExtDesktopSize messages to the client. If it does not work for your server, the server needs support for that.
