  • Changed board outline to be a bit longer to provide enough space between the IC's and the battery holder, so that a 3d-printed cover has enough material to span the face of the card. Card is now square, 54mm x 54mm.
  • Replaced the special huge tantalum cap on the ram card for generic ceramic caps. Data still lasts over 10 minutes with no battery. The ceramic caps are also smaller so they fit in the 1.2mm height limit for the 3d-printed cover.
  • Removed all BATT+ traces from the bottom copper layer, and customized the vias on the positive solder pads of the battery holder, so that the solder tabs still have a via for mechanical reasons, but the via is as covered as possible on the bottom copper layer, yet exposed on the top. So there is almost no battery power at all on the bottom pcb surface now, so that it's less likely to short the battery and wipe the data if the bottom pcb surface gets scratched and the card comes in contact with random metal objects.
  • Removed the chip and extra pins from the breakout card so it's simpler.
  • Added 3d-printed cover, drawn in OpenSCAD. The scad file generates different versions of the cover for different versions of card. The cover makes the card fill the card slot and prevent the card from wobbling in the slot, and protects the pcb components.
