- Deprecated `__pkg__.py` as it was too WET (information already contained in `setup.cfg`).
- Removed "GitHub Latest Release" and "GitHub Commits Since Last Release" badges since they don't seem to be working correctly and just add too much clutter to the badge gutter area.
