Hi,
My parents are reporting they get the daily digest sometimes and sometimes not. For example, the server time says UTC 9:00 am, my time is 11:00 am. The setting for the daily digest I made is 01:30 am my time, thus the running has to be at 11:30 pm UTC time if I am right. But the email still hangs and nothing happens.

Is there any hint available why emails hang? Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi @per4mance - I'm not sure that the timezone has anything to do with whether daily digests are sent.

As a starting place, you might consider setting up one or more test accounts of your own, so that you can verify for yourself whether digests are being sent at all. It could be that your users are misreporting, or that some emails get caught in spam in some cases, or that it's a problem specific to individual users.

Beyond this, I'd recommend setting up and then checking the bpges-debug.log tool described here https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-group-email-subscription/wiki/How-to-troubleshoot-missing-emails The other items on this page are also a good starting point for debugging.

Hi @boonebgorges,

Yesterday I replied by E-Mail with an attached screenshot to your comment above. I don't know if you received it.

I followed your logging instruction and can send you this log file if needed. I recognized one thing with plugin from Yoast SEO, starting from version 14.x. I deactivated yesterday this plugin and activated after 10 minutes again because Yoast integrated a new optimization function but it seems with trouble. Within the time of April 28th to May 1st Yoast sent out versions 14.0.1, 14.0.2, 14.0.3 and 14.0.4.

I'm not sure if this plugin is responsible but after deactivating this plugin, a second plugin was working again also. I already contacted Yoast and I'm waiting for a response.

The screenshot I sent you yesterday showed an email queue from May 1st. This email has been sent out now. It hung for three days.

Regards,
Thorsten
