Forum email sent to Pending users

Hello!

Our site used BuddyBoss plugin/theme and also uses BGES.

Users on the site receive a weekly email update about Forums.

The issue is that the site is sending these updates to Pending users as well: users who have not clicked the activation email from Wordpress. Even not subscribing to any forum :o

The result is that the site is sending email to emails that bounce, as most Pending users are simply spammy accounts created on the site. Even having a Captcha in our Register page, we still have such fake accounts being created.

Is there a way for BGES to only send emails to Activated users? (users who have clicked on the activation email from Wordpress)

Steps to duplicate the issue:

1. Create an account on site.
2. Don't click the activation email.
3. After some hours/days, the site will add your email in the list for sending Forum weekly updates. (even you not subscribing to any forum!)

BPGES sends emails to users in a group. You must be using a plugin that auto-adds new (pending) user accounts to a group. I suggest you fix the problem there: don't add users to the group until they're activated.
