New tab issue - Hanging while loading

Description

Opening a new tab and trying to access a website generally ends with hanging of the loading, resulting in a blank (white) tab. After that, I need to try to access a website again and be on the tab for it to load.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a new tab
2. Try to access a website or click a bookmark
3. Tab will be blank (white)
4. Tab will stop loading
5. Try to access the website again and will generally work

Expected result:

That links will immediately start loading instead of having to browse them twice.

Easily reproduced in my machine.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Can you confirm the following for me:

1. Can you tell me what extensions you have installed?
2. Does this only happen when attempting to visit a website from the new tab page, or does this also occur if you're going from one website to another website?

Can you also test the following:

1. If you create a new temp browser profile and perform the same steps in the newly created fresh profile, do you get the same results?
2. Can you try performing the steps with the dev tools console window open? Simply visit NTP, open dev tools (Menu --> more tools --> Dev tools then Console tab) and then attempt to visit another site.
