Brave browser freezes on image paste

Description of the issue:

Pasting an image ( into chat, as facebook/whatsapp for browser or anywhere where you can paste an image ) copied on clipboard, will sometimes make the browser freeze.

How can this issue be reproduced?

Copy on clipboard a random image from anywhere.
Try to paste it in a chat in the browser.
Issue occurs randomly, didn't notice what might cause it.

Expected result:

The image should be successfully uploaded/pasted into the chat.

Brave Version( check About Brave ):

Version 1.30.89 Chromium: 94.0.4606.81 (Official Build)

Additional Information:

This issue doesn’t happen all the time, but it occurred frequently on both Windows 10 Pro 64bit and MacOS silicon.

Extensions installed:

Dark Reader, Honey, Pricey, SetupVPN, Tipli.
Settings different than default:

“Use wide address bar” - enabled
“Always Show Full URLs” - enabled
“Media Router” - enabled
“WebTorrent” - disabled
“Widevine” - enabled

Hi @SezBulent. When it's intermittent like this, it'll be hard for us to reproduce. Next time you run into this issue, can you provide more detail on the image that you're having problems copying and pasting and also the chat app that you're pasting it to?

Hi @rebron, I don't know what more details to provide, this seem to happen on any image, no matter the extension/type. And as I said, this happens when pasting the image into facebook messenger or whatsapp chat.

Also no crash, only a freeze on the whole browser, which in the end i have to kill it so I can restart it.

Hi @rebron do you have any news on this? This issue still occurs on my side, and its extremely annoying. To add as further detail which i noticed, this issue also happens when I take a screenshot with "Lightshot" and then paste it into browser chat.
