Having a similar issue on Manjaro KDE with Xscreensaver. Up to yesterday, it was only happening with Brave Beta. But from today, Brave Stable also was closed after unlocking my screen (ie. both Beta and Stable crashed). I seem to recall that Stable got an upgrade yesterday - now Version 1.58.127 Chromium: 117.0.5938.88 (Official Build) (64-bit). I have a 3 monitor setup.

Hardware acceleration is disabled (that was causing problems many months back), and my computer is not hibernating or suspending, just screen saver lock.

Mine is screensaver related as computer does not sleep or suspend. Adding the --use-gl=desktop %U parameter has not really made a difference. Minimizing the browser seem to improve it a bit, but it is mostly Browser Beta that is crashing. My stable version only sometimes crashes.
