Description

Several users have requested the option to have the browser open bookmarks in a new tab automatically, instead of having to use the mouse-click wheel, right-click --> open in new tab or Ctrl/Cmd option. As far as I can tell, only Firefox allows you to do this but the setting isn't built in there, you need to access the config file in order to enable it:

+1 On this - it's a feature that Vivaldi has available as a configurable option

I support this request.
This is one of these tiny QoL things that often infuriates you when you click without thinking or don't even have a middle button.

I support this request. This is one of these tiny QoL things that often infuriates you when you click without thinking or don't even have a middle button.

You can also use Ctrl + Click (CMD + Click on macOS) to open bookmarks in a new tab.

The point would be not to have to press buttons
or grabbing with the left mouse button and dragging to the right...

I still don't understand why it's such a monumental task to add an option in the preferences
so that the user can choose to open in a new tab or the current tab
if something is selected from the bookmark bar

although I suppose since this has been a recurring theme for several years, I guess Brave core features prevent it from opening in a new tab...
