Description

After starting the browser, i see a white window and it disappears immediately.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Installing the browser via MS Store
  2. Start the browser

The issue also reproduces when installed without admin rights via the standard installer from brave.com.

Expected result:

The browser should start.

Reproduces how often:

The user tried and reproduced it at least twice.

Brave version (brave://version info)

About Brave can’t be reached, because the Browser doesn’t start.
In %localappdata%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\ is a folder named 120.1.61.109. So i think this should be the version…

Other Additional Information:

Windows 11 on december 23 patch-level
I don’t have any admin-rights to install or start the browser
the browser has never been run on this machine, so no addons are installed
I installed WinDbg to read the dmp-File.

ExceptionAddress is chrome!GetHandleVerifier
ExceptionCode is c0000005 (Access violation)
The ERROR_CODE indicates the memory
