Fixes

Once again, a dylib issue reared its ugly head in the last release (#5). The app should now run properly on all supported devices regardless of installed libraries.

Features

This release focuses on making the album select screen prettier! As a long-overdue quality-of-life change, album artwork on this screen is now anti-aliased via linear filtering. Especially on lower-resolution screens, this makes it much easier to see the albums you're queuing. Other visual changes include shadows behind selected albums, as well as dynamic gradients that improve the visibility of buttons.

Fixes

As noted in #2, there was an issue on MacOS Sonoma preventing song data from being retrieved properly. This was due to a breaking change in the AppleScript API which renamed the loved key to favorited (I still like loved better, personally). Anyways, this release addresses the issue, and the app should now work on both MacOS Sonoma and previous versions of MacOS. As always, if you encounter problems on your MacOS version, please create an issue.

Fixes

This release addresses an issue where the libraries micromusic uses weren't linked properly (or rather, weren't linked at all), meaning you would have to have all of the .dylib files manually installed via Homebrew to even so much as run the app (oops). The good news is that it should be fixed now, since all of these files are now included in the application bundle.

Fixes

The sole purpose of this release is to add support for Apple Silicon devices. Although it functioned properly on Intel devices, micromusic experienced a fatal crash upon opening on Apple Silicon, which has been fixed in this update.

micromusic DJ!

Version 0.2.0 adds a new "library" page, accessed by the button in the top-left corner! The first time you're opening this page, it might take a little while to load, since micromusic needs to cache the artwork of all of the albums in your library. To queue albums, simply drag them to the box in the bottom-right and let go! The albums you queue are added to a temporary playlist in your Apple Music library, so you can add as many as you want for extended listening sessions.

To make sure you're always listening to something fresh, micromusic shuffles all of the albums in your library, displaying nine at a time. Don't like the ones it picks? simply drag albums outside of the app to remove them, or press the "shuffle" button (second from the left) for a fresh set of nine.
