Animation Call N°8 notes:
Attendees @webworthy , @Zaxounette and @pavlenex shortly for an update.

Since this call was attended by only the two of us, we concentrated on details around the Storyboard that Webworthy put up on Milanote.
This storyboard is much easier to read than the previous github script file.

Following the order of the storyboard:

  • We decide to use a previously unused asset in the intro. Castle like asset representing the malicious old financial world.
    This leads us to discussing the multiple hops a payment takes in the current financial world, to hopefully enhance the render of this intro.
    Delete any real-world reference on this asset.
  • Consensus is found on moving SCENE1-SHOT3 up top, in first position. Dolly in from intro to appartement exterior to appartement interior to appartement laptop.
  • SCENE2-SHOT3: Add Out of Business on top of the closed sign to enhance fact that it is definitely closed.
  • SCENE2-SHOT6: Add BTCPay Server colo on tents that are already BTCPay-enabled.
  • SCENE3-SHOT1: Crowd can be 50/50 clothed BTCPay colors and clothed normal for color progression (half-way through the video). No color change on the actual train station building. Add easter-egg.
  • SCENE3-SHOT2: This shot can be deleted since their action is obvious between SHOT 1 and SHOT 3
  • SCENE3-SHOT3: Change seat positions to reflect train instead of tram/metro + scaling issue.
  • SCENE4-SHOT1: Possibly add easter-egg.
  • SCENE4-SHOT4: Clothing change of Father since he has now become BTCPay enabled.
    Daughter was always BTCPay-enabled, hence BTCPay colors since beginning.

Consensus on coloring.
INTRO: No BTCPay colors. Only old world colors.
SCENE1 through SCENE2 - Minority BTCPay colors, majority old world colors.
SCENE3-SHOT1: 50/50 BTCPay colors, old world colors
SCENE3-SHOT2 through SCENE4-SHOT2: Minority old world colors, Majority BTCPay colors.
SCENE4-SHOT3 through EXTRO: Only BTCPay colors.

This coloring is intended to convey the passing from the no BTCPay to BTCPay enabled status of the characters as well as their environnement.


Is added to the Storyboard the scripting of the narrator and character speeches for clarity of reading.


Picked-up a number of photos from traditional French bakeries to ease renders in the Bakery shots.


Zaxounette delivered to Webworthy an audio sample of the Narrator strings for time-testing


A MOTO is proposed for before credit screen that needs consensus:

BTCPay Server: Digital payments made seamless.


HOMEWORK:
@webworthy : Final iteration of character renders.

@Zaxounette : Work on final iterations in layman terms of speech text for characters and narrator before lock-in.
