add option for default in list to take first item whatever it is

most of the time i need to add new version to the list and change the default
may be we can add some somehow that default will take first one?

I'm a bit hesitant to add this feature, to be honest, it seems a bit too much fine-tuning and complicates the configuration. May be you could use a script for default value? which will read the json file and take the first value
