Description

On issue 953 we implemented the new exporting feature to OCI layout format, because it is an experimental feature, we didn't include the behavior if you try to rebase an image exported to disk in OCI layout format. This issue is intended to track this work either implement or research if the operation does not have to be implemented

We decided to close this issue because we are not clear about valuable use case for now. Feel free to reopen if someone has any strong opinion about it.
