Currently refreshing whole model recreates view from scratch, overwriting expanded/collapsed state of nodes. Therefore view resets to default (ex. collapsed) view state.

this change would introduce needless complexity and its already possible to do on your side (bind collapse/expand to the model for eg.) if you have a specific usecase
