Hoje o processo de gerar um novo release é complicado.
Supondo que se tenha acesso de deploy, ainda é necessário configurar maven+gpg para poder fazer o release. Propagar chaves e várias outras coisas que poderiam ser automatizadas.
A ideia disso é preparar o CI para fazer release a qualquer momento, tornando tão simples quanto um merge.
