"App did not start (RuntimeError)" Facing issue to run my test on android device

I see this error at terminal

App did not start (RuntimeError)
  ./features/support/app_life_cycle_hooks.rb:5:in `Before'

I have checked so many things and have been trying stuff suggested over the internet on different forums like.

• I have internet permission added
• I've reinstalled calabash-android

But no luck. As far as my test is concerned its so simple and just containing predefined step defections to click on a button.

Please help me what I am doing wrong or what could be the possible issue.

Same here, and some time before it states android.util.AndroidException: INSTRUMENTATION_FAILED

Mac OS X 10.11.6 had an awful lot of permission issues when it comes to ruby. Maybe source of these issues?

Note: Using calabash-sandbox this happens on the device but emulator works for me
