Copy/Paste of Sub-Process looses Z-Order of Boundary Event, Compensation Associations and Event Sub-Process Contents #1339

Describe the Bug

Copy & Paste of a an embedded sub-process results in the following issues:

  • Z-Order issue: Boundary Events appear bellow the tasks they are attached to
  • Compensation Associations disappear
  • Event Sub-Process contents disappear

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the attached BPMN model diagram.bpmn
  2. Copy and paste all elements

Expected Behavior

The copy looks exactly the same.

Environment

  • OS: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
  • Camunda Modeler Version: 3.0.1 (nightly build downloaded on 2019-04-03)

This issue has been discovered during the preparation for the upcoming BPMN MIWG demo in June 2019 in Amsterdam.

The good news is: The boundary event labels stay in position #1325

Thanks for reporting! I was able to reproduce it. Seems like we're having a very specific scenario where multiple bugs occur. When I copy the elements (e.g. the Compensation SubProcess), it works fine.

Using Camunda Modeler v3.4.1 I cannot reproduce any of the issues anymore. Therefore, I will close this issue.

@bpmn-io-tasks bpmn-io-tasks bot removed the backlog Queued in backlog label Nov 20, 2019
