problems downloading data #1
Comments
@SimonCastillo thanks for reporting this. we've been looking at this and found the problem is a broken internal link. what dataset(s) were you interested in and what use are you looking for? we're exploring the possibility of a manual process to go from the original format to the spreadsheet but are not sure how long that might take or whether it will be possible. |
Hi |
Or maybe an R package to download and import data directly to R? |
Hi Simon,
Perhaps the ISB-CGC <http://www.isb-cgc.org> would be a better source for
this type of data. In particular, we have a set of BigQuery tables
containing all of the TCGA clinical, biospecimen, and level-3 molecular
data. You can find documentation here
<http://isb-cancer-genomics-cloud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/sections/progapi/bigqueryGUI/WalkthroughOfGoogleBigQuery.html>,
as well as a "Do-it-yourself workshop" here
<http://isb-cancer-genomics-cloud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/sections/DIYWorkshop.html>
and
more complex SQL examples here
<http://isb-cancer-genomics-cloud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/sections/QueryOfTheMonthClub.html>.
There are also many examples in Python and R in our github repos
<https://github.com/isb-cgc>.
If you need a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) project in order to use BigQuery,
please send a request to request-gcp@isb-cgc.org <gcp-request@isb-cgc.org> with
your google identity (we have "cloud credits
<http://isb-cancer-genomics-cloud.readthedocs.io/en/latest/sections/outreach/User%20Credit%20Guidelines.html>"
which you may request).
best,
Sheila

Hi
I'm looking for prostate and breast cancer data (somatic mutation and gene
expression). I'm a PhD student and I want them for exploratory analysis
because I'm writing my thesis proposal. I've tried again and the problem
persists. Maybe a way could be to allow to copy data directly from "data
table"?? Let me know if there is any hope. Thanks in advance!!

Amazing, thank you very much Sheila!! |
Hello, I'm trying to download data as .csv or save it in my google account but in both cases, the following pop-up appears: Failed to upload 'RE_data_spreadsheet'. Please try again.
Any hint/help to solve this?
Thanks
