Based on what worked for me; and, uses within this repo, the correct path seems to include "DisplayManager" not "DesktopManager". Originally added via canonical#28 in order to address canonical#27.

Today I was greeted by the "This screen is locked. It will be unlocked in a second" screen that would in fact not go away in a second nor in two seconds.
So I switched to a text console, did a
ps faux
, saw lightdm,man lightdm
, saw "SEE ALSO"dm-tool
, didman dm-tool
, saw the variousdm-tool
commands and did:Yeah, however how should I know what to set
XDG_SEAT_PATH
to for heaven's sake?man dm-tool
doesn't mention it, nor doesman lightdm
