Storybook v7 has been released. This issue is for updating the monorepo to v7. We should defer as many optional migrations as possible so we can get on v7 as quick as possible and then iterate from there.

As identified in #13332, this update should fix the console warning we're currently seeing about not using the new createRoot api in storybook

We can use ArgsTable but it is deprecated, they have an open issue and are planning to keep it around until it is resolved: storybookjs/storybook#20782

  • MDX1 -> MDX2
  • Telemetry: attention => Storybook now collects completely anonymous telemetry regarding usage. This information is used to shape Storybook's roadmap and prioritize features.
  • Top level .babelrc.json
