… cardano-node and cardano-cli. Trying to run cabal build all leads to a failure preventing the node and cli build from working.

If you try to run cabal build all on latest tag of cardano-node code (i.e., 1.30.1), the build fails on tx-generator package with error message
While the above is not true and you might meed checking your logs further to know the cause, I agree with the change to not have other components built for the scope of this guide

Update the bash script code from 'cabal build all' to 'cabal build cardano-node cardano-cli'. If you try to run
cabal build allon latest tag of cardano-node code (i.e., 1.30.1), the build fails on tx-generator package with error messageSince this documentation is specifically about building the cardano-node and cardano-cli, we can work around this by only building the specific executables needed.
