pouch-todo

A simple todo-app similar to TodoMVC, using AngularJS and PouchDB to abstract browser storage and potentially sync to CouchDB. This is based on a blog post by Mirco Zeiss.

The blog post didn't include the full source (HMTL templates), and both AngularJS and PouchDB has been updated after the publication, so there is some differences in used syntax and other refactoring present. In particular, the broadcasting logic of the blog post has been removed, but look at the initial commit if you are interested in that implementation.

Requirements

• a browser that PouchDB supports, see the section Browser Support here

Try it out

• download this repo, and open in your browser of choice. It should work without a server, or then use something like the built-in Python webserver:

$ git clone https://github.com/orbitbot/pouch-todo
$ cd pouch-todo
$ python -m SimpleHTTPServer

• if you want to try out the CouchDB synchronization, uncomment the following lines in pouch-todo.js and add the correct URL for your CouchDB instance

    var db = new PouchDB('ng-pouch');
    // db.sync('http://x.x.x.x/ng-db', {
    //   live: true
    // });

    db.changes({ live: true }).on('change', function(change) {

Notes

• the main font is Montserrat, and the icons were generated using Fontello
• the used fonts are covered by the Open Fonts License, see information under the licenses subfolder
