Create SqlDriver and Database as Singleton with Dependency Injection in MultiModule project

This is the first time i try this library. I want to achieve this kind of module hierarchy in a multi-module android project.

So theoritically, the code will be

// data-foo module

): FooQueries = appDatabase.fooQueries

// data-bar module
fun provideDataBarQueries(
        appDatabase: AppDatabase
): BarQueries = appDatabase.barQueries

But the my confusion is, when i check the generated code, it only generates the database class when there is table exist. That means (as far as i know) i can not access AppDatabase or even create SqlDriver in the core-db module.

Then my question is, is that possible? If possible, how, is there any reference/sample?
And if not, does it mean i need to provide SqlDriver and AppDatabase in every data- module? Thanks in advance.

Edit: #1472 is the closest case that i found and it is closed without clear resolution (?). Quoted from there

One caveat I found here was that if the database module does not contain any .sq files of its own then SQLDelight does not generate any code for it. I expected that it would contain an empty Database class inheriting from the ones defined in both feature modules.

What is the content of core-db? Should it contain your database schema but no queries? If so, this is fixed: #3518

The core-db doesnt contain any entity/table too, this is sample for what i think.

Got it, as a workaround you could put an empty query file in core-db.

Thanks for the idea. I tried that and unfortunately the project can not be built. The impot in core-db will error, probably due to core-db doesnt implement data-foo and data-bar. And if i make core-db depend to data-foo module, wouldnt it be circular dependencies?

you need to add the regular project dependencies too
