Summary

SUMMARY:Balance "Adjustments to overall bulk and complexity of mortar and pestle item/recipe"

Purpose of change

Back in ye olde days, the mortar and pestle tool was added to More Survival Tools as an innawoods workaround to the fact that standard querns back then required mechanics skill to make, and clay querns weren't as accessible due to clay being rather uncommon. Now that those issues aren't a concern, their main advantage is being more portable, which...well, they aren't by much.

Plus it was balanced around being a given amount less material to make than a quern without me ever really stopping to think "wait duh, it's literally 2 rocks" at any point in time.

Describe the solution

  1. Reduced amount of rocks needed to make a mortar and pestle from 3 down to 2, removed the need for hammering quality since you have all the rocks you need right there (and are likely making this by grinding a hollow into one rock with the other technically, not knapping). In exchange, beefed up the recipe time from 6 minutes to 30 minutes. If anything it could take even longer, but I went with that for now since too much time-wasting for a one-time action doesn't really add that much to balance.
  2. Reduced volume of mortar and pestle down to 400 ml, or 80% the volume of 2 rocks, and reduced weight down to 1000 grams (80% the weight of 2 rocks, rounded down slightly).

Describe alternatives you've considered

  1. Adding a ceramic version baked out of clay that's lighter, in exchange for removing the use of ceramic shards in the standard recipe.
  2. Completely axing the mortar and pestle outright now that a quern is no longer a potential softlock innawoods since it no longer requires mechanics skill. Given how much heftier querns are, I feel the mortar and pestle still has some use for characters that're on the move and lack a proper vehicle.

Testing

Checked affected files for syntax and lint errors.
