Backups of your moodledata should be stored in a separate location from your moodledata, historically this has often meant storing data on physical locally hosted media. If you use a cloud platform for your object storage and it has a system failure, you may lose access to all your data. This plugin allows you to specify an alternate location to store a backup copy of your moodledata files and controls around when to delete the files after they are no longer used in your site.

- Log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins.
- Upload the ZIP file with the plugin code. You should only be prompted to add extra details if your plugin type is not automatically detected.
- Check the plugin validation report and finish the installation.
The plugin can be also installed by putting the contents of this directory to
{your/moodle/dirroot}/admin/tool/objectbackup
Afterwards, log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Notifications to complete the installation.
Alternatively, you can run
$ php admin/cli/upgrade.php
to complete the installation from the command line.
