Importing Pinboard bookmark JSON file fails silently #20
Comments
Not sure they meant any json file... Specifically, if you're a unmark.it user and want to shift to your own setup, you can export the bookmarks there as JSON. I don't have a Pinboard account, so if you attach a sample pinboard export file here, I might be able to write a util to parse and convert it into an Unmark JSON file... |
@derTyp Yes, @nitinthewiz is correct. Importing and Exporting is, for now, just Unmark to Unmark. However, if either of you would like to hack away at this please feel free! |
@derTyp @nitinthewiz I wanted to let you two know that you can now import from Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Delicious, and Pinboard on http://unmark.it |
Awesome, thank you! |
Is this feature also available if i'm using the own-hosted version? |
I just set up unmark on my web host. Everything seems to be working nicely, but importing my bookmarks from Pinboard fails silently. I have exported my 11.344 bookmarks which resulted in a JSON file of about 9 MB. When I selected that file in the import view, the file uploads and I'm redirected back to an empty view: http://d.pr/i/Y1L6
