Build accessible alert message pattern #176
Comments
I'd love to work on this! |
Update: In progress... |
let @scottaohara or I know if you need some direction with this pattern. excited to see some new contributors! |
@cehfisher @scottaohara I've just about finished with the CSS and Twig portions. Are you looking for just styling? Or some JavaScript action, too? (to dismiss the box) |
@digilou some functionality would be appreciated, within reason. e.g. keyboard focus should be moved to a logical element in the DOM after the alert is closed. Since this is a demo, make your best judgement on where that should go, knowing that someone implementing this in their own project will need to update it to work in their code / with their IDs. Thank you again for taking on this pattern :) |
@scottaohara I'm having fun with it and love the challenge! It's making me think. A lot. Thank you for letting me be a part of this very cool project! |
no thanks necessary. thank you for wanting to contribute :D |
@cehfisher Just let me know what I can help with. I do want to see this all the way through and make it a good solution for others to use. |
Nice low hanging pattern for anyone looking to contribute. Need to create an "alert" or "error message" type pattern featuring accessible colors.
Example pattern to grow from: https://standards.usa.gov/components/alerts/
