in celery 5, is it Mandatory to manually give a name to every class based task?

I tried the new way of registering the task by app.tasks.register(TaskName()), it gives me the error:

celery.exceptions.InvalidTaskError: Task class 'MyTask' must specify .name attribute

after I gave name to the task, it worked. But if it's so, shouldn't it be documented?
