Proper way to shutdown celery beat

Hi everyone,
We've made a daemonize version of celery worker and one for celery beat.
I cannot manage to find the proper way to shut down the celery beat. For the workers the option multi have a stopwait argument for exemple but nothing of the same kind for the beat one.
So I'm wondering what's the best way to handle it? I went trough the documentation without success
